What you'll learn

In this course, you'll make sci-fi fictional user interface (FUI) for a spaceship using After Effects with the Trapcode Form plugin for amazing particle animation. First, you'll use Form to create the wavy line of an oscilloscope. You'll use Quick Maps in Form to make a planet materialize out of a field of particles, scan for life over that planet, and have those particles replaced by an alien. Finally, you'll learn how to use custom particles in Form and expressions to add more details to the user interface. After following along with this After Effects tutorial, you'll understand some key concepts for creating your own fictional user interfaces. Software required: After Effects CC.
