What you'll learn

In this Stingray tutorial, we'll get acquainted with the core features in a very short amount of time. To begin, we'll talk about how to create projects in Stingray. Then we'll break down the interface, how to navigate the viewport and how to manipulate objects. After that, we'll learn the process of importing assets and how Stingray makes it easier than ever to manage your art assets with live updating in Maya, Maya LT and 3ds Max. Then we'll start to ramp up the action by learning how to set up a character with animations. Here we'll get a taste of how Stingray's visual scripting editor, Flow, can allow us to create gameplay very quickly. We'll also learn about how to use Wwise to create audio for our game and how to use Scaleform to create UI. Then we'll wrap up by learning how to deploy our games to our desired platform to share with our friends or the world. By the end of this Stingray training, you'll have the firm foundation you need to start creating your own game projects. Software required: Stingray 1.0.40.
