Creating a Stylized House in 3ds Max and Photoshop

What you'll learn

In this series of lessons, we will learn some of the different techniques used to create an image from start to finish. This tutorial is aimed to show you a variety of techniques utilized to create a finished piece starting from a painting. We will go through several different stages including modeling, lighting and texturing, where we will learn various methods which will help us to reach our goal. Hopefully, by the end of the tutorial, you will learn how to avoid TurboSmooth, how to give variety in your texturing, and how to quickly unwrap objects in UV Layout, etc. Software required: 3ds Max 2011, Fusion 6, UVLayout, Photoshop CS5.

About the author

Simeon Patarozliev started drawing as a little kid, but it was later in 2008 that he became passionate about 3D. He started working with Cinema 4D and then moved on to 3ds Max. He wanted to continue refining his skills, and in late 2009, he joined the 3D course in the University of Hertfordshire in the UK.
