What you'll learn

In this series of tutorials, we'll discuss how to quickly unwrap the UVs of a game character with some very powerful tools in 3ds Max. We'll start off by unwrapping the head of our game character, which can be one of the most difficult parts to UV. Here we'll get an introduction to the Peel tools. These tools are incredibly powerful and easy to master. Then we'll continue to unwrap our game character piece by piece, all while discussing tips and tricks to create perfect UVs. Finally, we'll discuss how to combine all our UVs into a single UV set and how to get it ready for the texturing process. Software required: 3ds Max 2014.
