What you'll learn

The focus of this Maya tutorial is to use nCloth to destroy parts of a vehicle. In this tutorial, we'll take a vehicle and have it flip down a highway. We'll simulate the effects in order to get an accurate and true-to-life representation of a real car crash. Then, we'll cover how to dent metal, shatter glass, and make parts break off. By the end of the Maya training, you'll have a solid understanding of how to use nCloth to destroy most objects. Software required: Maya 2015.

About the author

Todd Palamar has worked in the computer animation industry for 23-years. His career started at a young age doing traditional special effects work on several direct to video movies.
