What you'll learn

In this series of tutorials, we'll learn how to model a realistic female game character. We'll start out by preparing our high poly model in ZBrush in order to import it into 3ds Max. Then we'll begin retopologizing the head and face. Here we'll discuss the importance of edge loops in the face to allow for proper deformation in facial animations. After that, we'll move into modeling the clothing of our character and discuss how to speed up our production time using custom menus. Then we'll finish up the training by learning how to properly clean up our model to get ready for the next steps in production. So by the end of this tutorial, you will not only have a fantastic female hero, but you'll have all the knowledge you need to create any game character for your next game project. Software required: 3ds Max 2014, ZBrush 4 R6.
