What you'll learn

In this tutorial we will learn to light and render a highly detailed Sci-Fi character using V-Ray, Maya and NUKE. We'll look at the steps required to setup V-Ray lights using camera projection techniques. To start we will use V-RayLightRect to setup a simple scene. Along the way we will use camera projection techniques to setup the lighting for our Sci-Fi hero, finally we will create precomps/lighting comps using NUKE. By the end of this tutorial you will have a solid understanding of the workflows that are required to light, render and precomp a highly detailed Sci-fi character.
