Creating a Working Arbor Press in SolidWorks

Throughout these lessons, we will learn how to use some of the basic to intermediate sketch and feature tools that are available in SolidWorks. Software required: SolidWorks 2014.

What you'll learn

Throughout these lessons, we will learn how to use some of the basic to intermediate sketch and feature tools that are available in SolidWorks. Moving beyond the standard features, we'll learn how to use the tool library, where standard fasteners and power transmission components may be found. We'll also bring together the finished parts to form a working assembly. By the end of this training, we will have learned to work with the standard mates, along with the use of limit and gear mates in SolidWorks. Software required: SolidWorks 2014.

About the author

Dave has been both teaching and working with design software for the past 25 years. A machinist by trade, he has learned design software from the end user’s point of view. Working with solid modeling software for the past 15 years he has had the opportunity to explore a wide range of its uses with an emphasis on CADD/CAM.
