Getting Started in AutoCAD

Throughout this series of tutorials, we will learn how to work in AutoCAD. Software required: AutoCAD 2013.

What you'll learn

Throughout this series of tutorials, we will learn how to work in AutoCAD. We will use different drawing tools and options in the user interface, such as lines, guides, modifiers and layers, and also explore working in the 2D and the 3D environment. Then, we'll learn how to use the different features of the software to draw a floor plan and several 3D models and put them all together into one final 3D model where we can explore different options using view styles. Software required: AutoCAD 2013.

About the author

Francisco Castellanos is a Mexican architect who graduated from Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico. Currently he works as an architect in the Paris-based architectural firm, Dietmar Feichtinger Architects, and has participated in different projects and competitions within this office.
