In this series of lessons we will focus on getting you up and running quickly with InDesign.
We'll get started by learning how to setup a new document for our layout in InDesign. As part of the process of preparing our document we'll learn about things like master pages as well as columns, margins and guides. Next we'll break down how InDesign creates and works with objects that are both text and image based. We'll not only learn how to bring in text from files generated in Microsoft Word but we'll also learn how to streamline the formatting of this text using a paragraph style. To wrap things up we'll learn how to package and exporting our files.

In this series of lessons we will focus on Creating a Tri-Fold Brochure in InDesign.
We'll begin the process by learning the best way to setup our file and organize individual page into spreads. While doing this we'll learn how to incorporate multiple page sizes into the same InDesign document. Next, we'll build a framework to hang our content on in the form of a modular grid. From there we'll learn how to bring in and work with both image and text content for our layout. In order to make managing our text easier, we'll learn how to create both character and paragraph styles. To wrap things up we'll learn how to export a .PDF and package all related files into one singular location.

In this series of lessons, we'll focus on designing album artwork in Photoshop.
We'll begin by learning about two popular packaging designs for CDs. After learning a little about our client, we'll begin designing the front cover of a CD insert in Photoshop. While working on the front cover, we'll learn how we can incorporate various other elements into our design, including a vector logo and textures. Next, we'll move on and begin to create the back cover of our insert, taking into account the lyrics that will appear on top of it. Finally, we'll move over to InDesign to create the layout of our insert. Here we'll learn about several features, including paragraph styles and character styles that will make the process of completing our design more efficient.
