Hi DT! I have seen that in Maya i can extrude a cv curve, but in Cinema...?
Can U extrude a spline circle? I cannot.
Yup you can! The workflows in CINEMA 4D are slightly different than in Maya to do it, but the basic technique is the same. Create your spline, circle (what Maya would call the path and profile curves) and then create a Sweep NURBS by going to Create > NURBS > Sweep NURBS. Then drop the circle and sphere under the Sweep NURBS in the Objects Manager. Check out the Introduction to Modeling in CINEMA 4D to learn how to do this and more: http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/training.php?vid=15515
Thanks Dan! I post my doubt because i am looking a confortable tecnique for me in character modeling. The tutorial of sub-div in Maya is wow!! The tools of cinema disorient me. I will to apply it.
Sometimes different programs can be confusing at first, but if you're familiar with the base modeling concepts then those don't change. Notice that to do the extrusion you're doing basically the same thing (creating a path curve, a profile curve and then extruding) its just that the workflow is different to get CINEMA 4D to do it than Maya.
