    Hey Dafi!

45 minutes sounds real ambitous for one allone to create.
We created a project which was about 4:30 minutes in the last term and we were 7 artists from the 3d section and about 8-10 artists from audio, film and other sections.

It was a combination of real footage and CG and I can tell you, it was a lot of work and very hard. At the end we werenŽt really satisfied but we had to finish it.
I donŽt know of what you are capable of but depending on what youŽve planned, 45 minutes in this timeframe for one allone is indeed a bit too much in my opinion.

If there is only the animation and the rendering itself left, then it depends on how much animation you can finish per day IŽd say - not sure if anyone can give you a more accurate advice on this.

And depending on how complex your scene is you also should take the rendering into account. IŽd render some testframes to see how long it takes.

    Re: YOUR OWN SHORT

hey man, I did short animations from scratch, by myself in college and then in university and neither reached the quality I was aiming for. I suggest doing something short first (maybe 3-5 minutes) and see how you go from there. But spend as much time as you can on the STORY!!! Especially if you do something long, no one wants to spend 45 mins watching a bad story, no matter how good the animation is. Short animations can be just as powerful as full length features. Take '9' for example, I prefer the short to the full length feature. Check out Kiwi, A Gentleman's Duel, Cousin, Annie and Boo, In The Rough, Fallen Art (I could go on and on at this point) to see what can be achieved in just a few minutes.
