    Bates House

Due to the restrictions it wasn´t that easy to find a proper scene because in most of the new movies there is CG implemented and although I really like old movies I don´t have that much DVD´s.

I think I´ll give it a try with the Bates house from Psycho.

Software: Maya, Photoshop, Mudbox or zBrush
I´d say I´m an intermediate user but count me as a beginner at sculpting.

It´s kinda hard for me to get the proportions right because there are a lot of of different versions of the house and the pictures / blueprints which I´ve found are not that accurate.
So for the first step I did a rough blocking - feedback would be appreciated.

    Excellent choice, golani79.

You don't have to get it perfect since rarely do the audience see every portion of the backdrop, so just try your best. I will even go as far as to suggest avoid adding details on things that won't be seen clearly in the final comp.

Thanks for your reply. I´ve already thought about cutting some details from the background but then I thought the house would also be a nice standalone model to show off
Besides that it´s fun to create and I also need a bit modelling practice so I´ll probably go with all the details as far as possible.

    Thanks!

Today I was working on the entry area but I´m not entirely satisfied with all the parts yet.
