Maya Camera Problem

Hi,

I am new to Maya (using 2012). I have created a custom camera (camera1). When I switch to side by side layout with one view as persp and the other as camera1 and try to see through this camera half of my model is not visible in this view. However switching to another view (like top, side) it is visible. Tried Show item in the drop down menu, near-far clip settings.

Any advise to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I figured it out. Just created the camera again and without moving the camera changed to two panel layout.
