The more I learn Unity from Digital tutors the more I want to purchase 4.0 Pro version, but the price is way too high for me. $1500 Pro version + $1500 iOS Pro + $1500 Android Pro. ( The life cycle of this version I think it 2 years)
$4500 / 2 years = $2250 per year or $187.5 per month
Even I can come up with money somehow, I still want Digital-tutors staff give suggestion and their view for this update why is important for us to using this new version.
Since you guys purchase the 3.x Pro version early, you guys have to pay upgrade for this software $600 if preorder. what do you think about the upgrade pricing?
Many people is thinking switching to UDK because only cost $100 to start and get cut of profit after $50k sales. Feel cheaper to many beginner.
Hey Jakeliu,
To put it simply, software is a tool to get a job done. Whether or not it is in your budget to pay for software to get the job done that you need to get done is really something that no one but you can answer. So while I can't really make a decision for your own budget, what I can say is that Unity has an awesome version that is completely free that you can use to keep learning and building on your skills while you ponder your purchase decision: http://unity3d.com/unity/download/
