Transforming Robot: arm piston placment and attachment

This question is for Eddie of DT:

Just want to ask what your intention was for the pistons on the robots arms. Are they attached to the wrist and upper arm. Does the arm swivel at the elbow attachment?

    Hi caffeineadic,

Good question! Seeing as how there was really only one piece of artwork done for the robot's, smaller details like the articulation of joints may be difficult to decipher. My thought was that the arm would swivel at the elbow attachment and the pistons would be there to assist with that movement as well as limit the elbows range of motion. I've attached an image which hopefully makes that more clear.

Fortunately, Justin is an amazing modeller and artist and I knew that I could trust him to figure out how the pistons should attach based on this idea to make the movement of the arm believable.

    Hope this helps!
