Well, that link takes me to a dragon, not a pinup girl, but I'd like to comment about it anyway. Its looking really nice. For the second one I get the feeling you're trying for a running cycle, but it looks a little more like a hop. As if the the dragon saw something interesting and hopped over real quick to check it out. If you're going for a run cycle try extending the back legs further behind the dragon to get more of the 'squash and stretch' principle of animation. This should help it feel like a more natural run.
I'm looking at the pinup girl now and she's really well sculpted, but parts of her feel kinda plastic (and not because she's shiny). I think the problem is a lack of gravity. There's weight on every part of the body and she looks more like she's floating in water. I really love the details in the face though and I can't wait to see it when you're done with the eyes and hair.
Hello Teshia , thank you for your helpful comments , Yes I am still working on Terri my pinup girl , here is a link that should take u to her lol. tried using the maya hair system but not happy with the out come so I am going to try shave and haircut. once I get the hair complete I still have texture maps to make for her skin shader , then on to rigging and was hopping to get that extra edge (gravity) in there with the rigging. So thank you for the keen eye and helpful advice , keep it coming please.
Looks like a clean mesh so far your girl
Would be interesting to see some wireframe views though.
As for your hair problem.. you might want to check out Kyle's fantastic hair course: Creating Hairstyles with Maya Hair
I managed to get some quite good results myself .. well after struggling a bit with the appropriate light setup
adeptus , I did check out the maya hair course thank you and will say great tutorial but I just could not get the desired results with it, So here she is with shave and a haircut , will prob redo one more time .. As to the gravity was responding to Teshia's comments but yes I am talking about the hair the breast and a general affect on the skin itself..
here is the update I did today. along with a wireframe http://3dwithmaya-francis.blogspot.c...tal-human.html
