assign material on multiple objects but different results on each object

    Hi guys,

im going through the production pipeline of the infiltrator and I am applying a light brushed metal material. The reflections work for the head geometry but not for the wing panels on the back and on the side panels of the head. Even though they are both assigned to the same material, as shown in the picture below. The Green indicates the correct reflection and the red is the incorrect ones.

    Hey sinvoodoo,
My first thought would be that, if you have the same material applied to two different objects and are getting results that are as different as you appear to be getting, the normals are likely the culprit. Try checking them out to make sure they're facing the right direction for those surfaces that aren't being shaded as expected.

just tried reversing the normals and it solved the problem thanks Dan.
