Re: Project: Tv 3D animated opener with motion graphics - (2D concept art inside)
So If've got a problem, I was trying to emulate myself but I don't know why i get this blue shade as if something went wrong while adding an input, can anyone help me with this? I just drag the bump from the hypershade with second mouse button pressed to the "Selected Color" input you can see on the picture, but I'm getting that blue color all the time now instead of the bump i want.
Re: Project: Tv 3D animated opener with motion graphics - (2D concept art inside)
So this is what happened, I think that the color ramp does not like the bump connection so that's the main reason what it all goes blue, I made I mistake before, the bump does not have to be connected to the color node, it has to be connected to the bump map node, it's that easy, ok, now that's ok.
What I was trying to achieve was to have the shadowy green part of the jacket worked with a bumped shadow, I got pretty exited getting that effect on the t-shirt but when you jump to the jacket you have 3 colors so the bright and shadowy green gets bumped while I just want the darker green to have that bumpy effect, this may be done on the hypershade but I'm a little bit junky on that as you've seen there, so, I can try to connect two shades to the jacket, one with the shadow green bump effect and another with the brighter greens, easy to say but still don't know if possible (maybe using a blending colors node and mixing those two shades....don't know).
Anyways I have this question now: why I can't see the bump applied on the jacket while it shows up on the t-shirt?
Re: Project: Tv 3D animated opener with motion graphics - (2D concept art inside)
Ok now, the bump does render on the jacket, its repeat value was very low so I just had to push it up, the problem now is the T-shirt has the kind of bump I want, I mean, cartoony bump while the jacket no matter what I do gets a realistic bump, as I said I only want bump effect on the shadow green of the jacket, I keep on working, I'll try next making a custom bump texture for the jacket to see if that is a solution.
