    Lion modeling

Hi! I never want into feline area and yesterday I had some sparetime to model a few things!
So I started to google some lion pictures and found some good references (not acurate but something that I could watch again and again to know how a lion is)

here's what I came up with

I will continue on doing the body soon as possible! I will end with the textures and the fur =)
by the way... it may be long before you see any updates... I will come on the forum very often... but I'm working 40h/week + going to school at night... so my days are full from 4h30am to 9h pm and sometimes 11h pm...

    Re: Lion modeling

mmmh still no comment... but its the weekend so I guess people have something to do! =)
I'm wondering it there's a way to attach a gum to make it follow the morph... without making it a part of the model... like two different model moving together... cuz I want to make the upper gum part (inner mouth) seperated from the bottom one and from the lion... just for texturing appart... and teeth are also seperated...
I don't want to group it and move it manually every time... + do I need to make a quick rig and attach everything on to just rotate and move the head..?

this is for a single animation just for fun... it won't be for the full body im just testing things out before continuing on modeling...

later tonight I will upload a video of new morph I made!

Looks good .You might want to test the quad to triangle feature as you will use that a lot for game engines .

    Re: Lion modeling

yeah! could be nice! but actually im just into the modeling phase so the model is not done yet... Im just having fun with the morph lol
once the body is modeled I'll give it a try for sure ^^

*edit* by the way... is there any way to make a correction to the edge loops easily..? I went wrong on a part i was just focussing on making it look good... if you look at the nose the edgeloop doesnt come down to the mouth area... it goes with the eyes so my whole model is kinda ruined...

I would not necessarily try it with the object your building now. i would create something simple to try that feature as it can be a little unpredictable at times .

well I have a save per 10minutes or major changes so I could just give a try on it to see if it does the job if its too much tweaking might start with easier models...
any tips for recreating the edgeloops?

here's some morph I made... you can see my edgeloop problem on the "angry" animation

The play back looks nice . I could not see anything that would need to be fixed .

i'm working on the body..! once done I'll UV and texture it! =) hope to get a nice lion! I won't use fur/hair for this model cuz my Pc can't handle it it will be planes and alpha channel! =)
