The winner of the July's animation contest - My Toy.


stwert: Like stepping on a lego brick

One of the challenges of animation is making it believable to the audience. stwert applied a stop-motion style of animation in CG that went very well with the limited motion of the Lego characters. The little story was quite enjoyable as well .

stwert will receive a $50 Gift certification for Amazon and a place on the next DT Newsletter.

Suffice to say that this has been one of our most popular contests this year. Not only did we received a large amount of entries but almost all of them showcased some of the best modeling and texturing skills seen in these contests, so you can guess that selecting one winner was a big challenge for our judges.
Indeed everyone at DT is extremely proud of our participants and thank you for sharing a piece of your childhood with us .

Wow, thanks so much guys! I can hardly believe it I feel so honored to be chosen out of so many talented people. There's a lot of fantastic work here, and you definitely pushed me to work harder and improve myself. So thanks again for the kind words and the motivation too.

Edit: By the way, if there's things you don't like about my entry, I'd be glad to hear some critique too, as there's always plenty of room for improvement. I can see several problems/things I don't like about my animation, but I'd be happy to hear your thoughts too

Stwert that animation made me laugh so hard I fell out my chair .Great work man .I still think you guys all did a great job .Really great .Hope to see all you guys keep joining the contests .Some great work .Claps Hands .And says thanks for showing some great work .On a side note .That brontosaurs looks so dang funny .I love it ,same with chucky and the rock em sockem robots .Those aliens came out really well .Gadgetfun I think you might need to check into somewhere with all that lego detail .Really awesome man .Just wow .The Baby puzzle and Captain caveman .You guys got that down perfect .JAck in the box really great to .And the potato man .I saw that a while ago in the forums ,super funny .The dump truck has some really great details .
