  1. Back up your work in Maya -- automatically

    The screenshots should explain the process but feel free to let me know if they don't. To find where your files are automatically placed look to these folders:
    • For incremental save files, look to YOURPROJECTFOLDER\scenes\incrementalSave
    • For autosave files, look to YOURPROJECTFOLDER\autosave

  2. From Maya to After Effects: Importing Image Sequences

    Here is a brief write-up of how to import a rendered image sequence in After Effects. The screenshots are specifically from Maya to AE but the process is the same as far as AE is concerned regardless of what 3D application you're using. If you're using any other 3D application other than Maya then skip to step 2.
