Tips, tricks, and random thoughts

The Digital Tutors library has a massive amount of information and help on using Maya. It's quite possible that the tips posted here are already covered in some videos. What I thought I'd try to do was share some shortcuts or alternate ways to do something that might not be in tutorial videos. And sometimes when I run into some issue working in maya, or if there's a very common newbie problem, I might post something on that. I don't claim to be an expert, (on the contrary), just want to pass on some goodies as others have helped me.
