Mentalray Missing?

Hello, I'm using Maya 6.5 and I seem to be having a problem with mental ray. I've looked in the maya folder and mentalray is there, but when i go to the plugin manager it isnt there, and when i try to render in mentalray I get this error:

You have mental ray loaded in the plugin manager (mayatomr.mll). By any chance, did you change the location of maya or the mental ray folder after installing it? I'm thinking your file path variables may be the issue.

no i havn't, it's been in the same place since i installed it.

The directory exists but something is stopping Maya from communicating with it. Do you have a firewall?

Try doing a search for the "mayatomr.mll" file on your system and make sure it still exists and is still where it should be.

Also, as DJ Voyager suggests, you have to make sure mental ray can get through your firewall.

I have the same problem. I just reinstalled my maya, but that was a easy way.
