how do the make south park

Does any one know what program they use to make south park?

I always wondered if they did it all with After Effects cuz it seems all 2D. Nice to know it's Maya :)

cool thanks man, i kinda thought they used maya. now knowing that, im gana try to figure out how they did it and try making my own animated shorts, south park style. :bang

Most people think it's done with cardboard cutouts like the original one. I'll be waiting to see your shorts, dragon-gt :)

Just a guess; they might have a frame sequence as texture on the faces. I also heard that they have to put together an episode about a week or so from airing, to tackle the latest issues. Judging by that, they might have pre-set animations that they just pull into the desired scenes. So animation is not the hard part, the script is :)
