can shave and haircut be animated?

this may be a dumb question but can shave and haircut hair created in maya be animated?

I know you can apply dynamics to it. But if that's too intensive, there is some feature where it animates it looking like there is wind pushing the hair around, done with some noise filter. Well I hope that's what you meant when asking for animation :3

Safaki_lemur is correct! On top of that you can animate Maya curves by bones, keyframes, etc and spline shave hair can be applied to them.
