I've enveloped a character over a rig using the biped guide. Following the workflow from the Rigging DVD, I selected the whole character,m then stored all transformations as a default pose, which becomes a source inteh model's mixer node. As long as I stay in the scene, a couple of applications of action returns the character to the default pose. So far so good.
But if I export the character as a model, import it into a new scene, and pose it, then applying the default pose to the character snaps it into a similar, but not identical position. If I try to pose the character again, the knees bend backwards, the arm spins around, the rig is broken.
Anyone know why this happens? Or how to work around it?
