HOLY! That looks freaking awesome! great work. I have one thing! if you could all a bat or some thing with wings flying near it. I know that would probably take a lot of work but it would look cooL!
If you dont it would still look really good ! haha

I have a (flock??) of bats made to fly round & through the towers & generally annoy the big ol dragon that roosts up there. Will be adding them by the end of the month.

Really good work, the castle is very detailed and looks good in lighting. Was there anything you used for reference or was it an idea you had? Either way, superb work. :bow

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the support.
Metryx, I looked a little at pics of castles & cathedrals on the net & spent a bit of time going over my Brian froud (http://www.worldoffroud.com/index.html) books. No single image in particular. One of the hardest things was to make a tower type castle that didn't end up looking like something out of LOTR. So I had to spend a little time checking these as a kind of anti reference.

Looks great! This is only going to be one tower, right?

I've updated my entry to my final version. Fingers crossed.
DjVoyager, Yeah only one tower. The older part of the castle was demolished by the new owner. Damn super-villains, always smashing stuff.
Kyle, sorry I re-rendered at an earlier time of day, so all the bats were asleep & therefore aren't in shot. Though the dragon has a friend now.

That looks terrific! But what's equally impressive is that you're timing it very well, the project closes in two days :)

Thanks Johnny, though I should make it clear that the sky isn't my work. its just an image plane with the lighting set up to work with the model. Hope thats still OK. Anyways, we shall see.

I kind of guessed that : ) I doubt most people would sit there for hours trying to get a decent looking sky when there are good enough pics around for free, or for a small price (in CG terms). Thats how Im doing the lighting on my project too...and it gives a great result. I did try and create a collage in PS once but I gave up due to the lack of my creative skills...in the matte painting world that is.

Good looking castle, i love something that reminds me old times, like kings, ancient civilizations and their habits. :)
