paint gun tutorial

I am so sure (but could be wrong) that somewhere on your dvd's there is a tutorial that teaches you to make a paint gun (or something like that) and spray a brick wall. the part I'm interested in is making a particle interact with a surface to leave a stain on it, like making my rain particles darken the sidewalk as they fall on it.
Where is that tutorial, or is there another way you can help?

It was on the Advanced Shading Networks kit - the one with the leaves on the cover. If you use RF, you could use wetmaps.
