Hi,

I have a strange problem and been trying many times trying to fix it.
I orignally rendered a model with default lights which was ok...so I decided to put a 3 point lights which showed a different result...much lighter skin on the model.
Anyway, I deleted the 3 point lights to render it the default way...but no image was shown in the render view.
So, I opened up a new scene, import the model with the 3 pt lights deleted from the other scene and render. I get a silouette for the image view.

Right now, the head is a shadow and the body is blue....I didn't shaded the body blue. So I have no idea what is going on.

I tried to delete the cameras and lights from hypershade, but it won't let me do it.

I wish I can attach a pic with this problem to show you what I mean.

How can I get back the default light to render? Help!

Well you can attach a picture by going to the advanced editor (hit the go advanced button next to the quick reply button, then scroll down and go to attachment manager)

About the problem, I'd just try selecting the objects you have and then pressing CTRL-C or edit copy and then create a new scene and hit paste. When you import, some of the settings are imported along with the scene which is probably why you are getting the same thing. If this works, great, it'll save a lot of stress but if you have stuff like animation or it dosen't work then try going to the render globals, scroll down to render option and make sure eneable default lighting is on.

Also under the rendering menu set go to lighting/shading->light linking->light centric. Make sure you have no light sources.

Try applying a new blin shader on the head and see what happens, the shader linking might be off :)

Like brandeil, try applying the same shader as the shirt and then make a new one. It seems like you have a surface shader applied to the head. It is very unlikely that the problem is caused by the lighting.
