I followed all the instructions on the video. Finished doing all the ep curve outlines for the side and top view and etc..when i select the 3 curves to make a loft the result is all wrong. It twists towards the other side, doesnt look anything like the loft made on the video. I am doing the Fundamentals of Maya: Polygon and Sub-D Modeling video..I did reset my settings on the loft option box, the same thing happens..I just recently upgraded to Maya 7..I dont know where I went wrong? Can anyone help please???? Thanks

Post a pic to show whats up. What may be influenc is theorderu select the curves, try the oposite way, also make sure they are lined up properly. Also in the atriburtes of the loft can be settings as to how they flow, I rmebr that in doing the car kit.

Chances are, its the order in which you select them - as Brandeil said. However, another possibility is that one of the curves is reversed. Check to see which curve is causing your geometry to be all wacked out, and reverse that curve and see if that helps.

Hopefully you were successful in finding what was wrong. I was working on the same kit, and this is what worked for me - as I had the same problem.

After making the three curves with the EP tool, I then select all of the curves and used the "Rebuild Curve" tools. I didn't mess with any of the defaults and Maya spaced out the vertices nicely.

I then reselected selected the curves (in descending order, as Maya will build your loft in the order of the curves selected) and created surface - loft.

Hope this helps.

Yes, i had the same problem i fixed it as follow

In the tutorial the tutor selected the 3 curves and pressed loft, what u get was that it went the wrong way, i fixed it by not selecting the 3 at the same time but loft them 1 by 1, first the upper one with the middle one afterwards i connected it with the last curve (downer one).

Hope that helps
