View Full Version : Real mixed with 3d - Maya and Mudbox

Learning a lot with this site. I checked out all the mudbox tutorials. I had a hard time finding info on mudbox and I'm glad they had some tuts in here. Here's a test of trying to take a real photo and add a moving 3d image. The projection brush is awesome.

The only problem I'm having is the specular giving me away. Is there a way to tone that down? Any advice would be helpful.

I found that you can actually paint away specular in mudbox by applying specular and then using as a subtract layer. Also by toning down the saturation in a layer in ae later it can bring down the unwanted specular a bit.
