I've created a flag using cloth and a transform constraint to pole using the edge cv's. After applying the wind the flag just wraps itself around the pole. Any ideas why? I remember there is some setting that adjust this. Maybe solver resolution or something??? Can someone please help?
Thanks in advance!

Does no one have an answer for this? Has anyone made a flag animation before?

Make sure to make the pole a collision object and use a mesh constraint. Use the transform constraint with the middle CVs of the cloth to attach the flag to the pole, with a locator, but mesh constraint with the upper and lower CVs to the pole. Also, make sure that the magnitude of the wind isn't set too high. Check the wind directions.
If it still wraps itself around the pole then you might wanna see if the U and V bend resistance of the cpDefaultProperty isn't set too high. The more the bend resist the stiffer the cloth.
Hope that helps.

Ya, I followed a tutorial that mentioned all those things, but it still seems to latch onto the pole and stick. Very confused and frustrated. Does DT have a tutorial on a cloth or dynamic flag?

There is Syflex flag tutorial but you'll need Syflex plugin for that.
Are you using a Turbulence field with it? make sure you constraint it to selected number of CVs. It should be able to work if you're following the tutorial. I just did on my computer and it's blowing nicely.
