Spline Disappears On 3ds max

Hello friends,
I'm going through that mustang modeling DVD but on side window glass I stuck. when I follow the instructor and convert editable spline to poly it disappears instead of creating the N-gon.

Help will appreciated, thank you!

Who's dvd are you referring to ? I dont think DT has made a dvd in a few years .
