So When I go searching for tutorials I can never find a good one on how to use normal maps to their full extent in 3ds max.
it sounds pretty straight forward. Go to bump> normal map> bitmap> chose my map, and apply.
but every time i do this My quality is never anywhere near the quality of zbrush. Right now I have a model and all it has are simple scale textures from zbrush.
now even if you told me that normally in max it will never look as good as zbrush, I still figure I should get close. at where i'm at now a regular bump map looks better than my normal map.
so i'm wondering if i am missing a step. does anyone have an idea or know any great tutorials for applying normal maps in "MAX"???
thanks in advanced!
