Hello Community,
While taking my daily look into the Autodesk News I found this really cool plugin for Maya:
exoSplit (http://area.autodesk.com/industrynews/bidirectional_constraint_exotools_is_looking_for_beta_testers) plugin. Its still in the Beta phase and free to download for testing purposes.
I already downloaded and installed it and took a look by myself. The first impression is really positive. This is an extremely powerful and easy to use plugin for animating a constraint system between multiple objects. It is something that Animators will love I think :)
They have some Videos online where they show every tool in the plugin and how to work with it so I recommend you to check that out.
PS: there is one Issue Im having with the Plugin: After Installing and Loading it the Dolly Tool (ALT+RMB) did not work anymore. The hotkey function was somehow replaced by a plugin-specific window. Changing it back in the Hotkey editor didnt work for me. However if you unload the plugin and restart maya everything works fine for that.
An other way to Dolly is to use the alternative : Alt+LMB+MMB.
The free Betaversion is only 23 Days for use and I dont know how the prices are. But however, I find this is worth trying it :D
