Hi! im modeling for games in 3DsMax. I noticed that you can do floating geometry on an high poly model and make your normals from it instead of making the hole for real... its way faster!

But my problem is that when I attach the "shape" to my main mesh and turbosmooth it... it doesnt show like if it was a hole... but show as two different parts... any tips? maybe I need to push a key to see it...

finaly found how to fix it... it was my normals facing on the wrong side so my "hole" was showing in black... now it does show like "it is one piece" even if its two different... hope the normals will bake good!
