Im setting up image planes on my model that IM working on, but in the perspective view and also in the other 3 views, it is showing the image plane cameras, a simple box with a line pointing in the direction the camera is looking

Needless to say, these extra lines I am finding most off-putting. The problem is, if i switch off cameras on perspective view, when I create cameras for the final animation, I wont be able to see them.

How can I see it so that I dont see the information on the image plane cams, but can see any other cameras added to my scene?

Thanks in advance

Chad

personaly I do not like to use the image pane projectionsunless it is going to be a background scene in an animation. If I am going to model off of image planes I just create simple polygon planes with the same dimensions as the images.

-Create your image planes using inches or centimeters in photoshop. then note those inch dimensions.

-change your dimiensions in photoshop preferences to inches or centimeters.

-Create a polygon plane.

-Over in the inputs area of the channel box put in the dimensions of your image.

-Your image should fit the UV map of the plane perfectly now.

Note: I have noticed in Maya 8 that the UV map changes with the dimensions you typ in the inputs. Just change it back to using the full 0 to 1 uv range.

As another note, CTRL+H is the shortcut to hide your selection.
