Hi guys, i have a fireGL X2 256Mb and for some reason when i put hardware render it says "Warning: Graphics card capabilities are insufficient for Hardware rendering on this machine." :( can anyone help me dont know if it is a drivers problem or if it is really that the graphics card is not good. so in that case can u tell me wich video card should i get ?? i have had ATI graphic cards all my live but really whant to get a really good one if it is necesary

Doesn't look like the X2 is supported.

:eek: so this is only in maya 8 ?? mmmm ho well do u have any sugestions on graphic cards i have a Boxx dual xeon 2.8 2G Ram and more than 250G HD im working in VFX, Modeling and graphic design.

That list was Maya 7. In Maya 8, it looks like the entire FireGL X-series isn't supported.

Regarding what sort of graphics card, do a search on the forums for workstation setups, we've had quite a few conversations about it on here. :)
