Only the mental ray tab?

This is more just a curiosity thing, but has anyone else had the tabs in the render globals all disappear save mental ray? (see number01) Sometimes I see the tabs for all the renderers (see number02), sometimes I don't -- is this in something I'm doing, or is it just a software quirk?

I'm running Maya 7 ... both those screenshots are from Maya 7. Actually only a few hours apart.

oh, well I take that back then. But you can't blame me for thinking maya 8 was being weird:)

Anyways, i've never seen that happen. On the other hand I don't have any other renderers installed right now, but when I did have turtle, it didn't do that.

I have not had that happen, and I have Turtle and Cebas loaded.

I have had that happen. Usually when I have the Maxwell or Renderman for Maya plugin installed. It keeps wanting to default back to one of the two and botches my mental ray plugin load. This happens every once in awhile.

The only renderers I have installed are Gelato and mental ray -- so it must be Gelato...which, honestly, has caused more frustration (crashes, etc.) than its worth in my opinion.

Oh yeah I had that installed too. When I upgraded to Maya 8 I got rid of it and Maxwell. Works great now.
