Lost short cuts after switching the mouse wheel to "navigation only"

Hi, I'm new to Softimage. I'm working a modeling tutorial and I noticed once I switched my mouse wheel zoom to "navigation only" in order to use the proportional modeling command I have lost short cuts used by the mouse wheel. Things like reselecting the last tool by tapping the menu button. Splitting through a row of edges by tapping the scroll wheel while using the"split edge tool", and so on.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to still use these short cuts after changing the mouse wheel to "navigation only"?

Hi PEN1,
The middle mouse commands should still work fine with the scroll wheel set to "Navigation Only".

Here's a couple things you might check:
1. Make sure you didn't accidentally set the scroll wheel to "OFF" in the Softimage preferences.
2. In one of your earlier posts, you mentioned that you recently plugged in a new mouse. Does this new mouse require special software/drivers to set the scroll wheel as the middle mouse button?

Thanks Green. I didn't have all the problems until I installed some software for my mouse. I uninstalled and things are working!
