How can I snap a vertex to a curve?

You have to hold down v and snap a vertex to another curve's vertex. Make sure that the other curve is in Control Vertex mode.
Hope that helps.

Nice that works. Thanx alot!
For anyone else reading I also found some other nice things.
If I go display->Nurbs->CVs I dont have to be in component mode on the curve to snap to it. I also used the rebuild curve command to add a larger number of cvs to snap to.

You might also want to use the snap buttons above the shelf, I sometimes prefer using those snapping icons if I have to do alot of snaps. Thought I point that out aswell.

I'm following along with the automotive tutorial video #4. It doesn't matter if I hold down C or V, it still doesn't work. Are there some settings that I need to change?

Ok, you have to keep pressing and releasing C, moving it bit by bit along the curve until it eventually snaps. It may take you 10-20 tries if not more, but it eventually works.

Hey, I just learned of an easier way to do this. It works 100% of the time. Click the vertex you want to snap, but don't grab the vertex and try to drag it to the curve. Instead, press C like you normally would and just middle click on the curve you want to snap to. The vertex will leap over to the curve and you can then place the vertex wherever you want. Works every time.
