Cannot view 3D Sphere in 2D mode- can view in 3D mode.

I followed the instructions, yet I cannot view this 3D object in 2D mode. I can see it fine in 3D mode, and can tell the camera is pointed at the Sphere, yet in 2D mode get only a black screen. Very frustrated, seems simple yet despite reviewing instructions and cannot get this to work. I have attached the script, please let me know what I am doing wrong.

To see the sphere, we need to plug something into the img pipe, because right now it's just a plain black sphere, on a black constant. So you can either plug an image of some sort into the img or change the color of your constant background to a gray, then you'll see your sphere.

I want to say thanks too! I was having the same problem following the intro to Nuke 3D tutorial. I must have watched that video 4 or 5 times trying to figure out what to do. I'm glad there are forums with answers.
