I'm using maya, and I'm trying to import my exported obj sequence of fluids... and from what I understand from other forum posts is that I need Realflowmesher.mll to import this animation correctly...
So where can I get this mll file?

I'm pretty sure that when you install RealFlow it asks for which software you want to install the plugins So when you select maya it will make those files automatically. Then you just load them in the plug-in manager.

Actually you might be able to get the plugins separately as well in which case this should help:

Oh, does the fact that I'm running the trial prevent that?
That's got to be the reason.

Nope, when you download the demo, they send you a link by e-mail. That link has the site for the demo and the plug-in.

Do the plugins load correctly, or does it give that error after you load it?

Hi All!
I happend to find this thread from doing a search about my problem.
I recently bought Realflow and the program works super great. I am having a problem getting it to import to Maya though and thought I could get some quick advice.
I completed the glass tutorial and got to the part where I import back to my app (maya 8.5). I load the plugin and it comes up on the menu tab on the top of the screen a(Next Limit - Realflow - Mesh Loader) and all but when i go to it and click on mesh loader I get an error message:
// Error: Cannot find procedure "RealflowMesher"
It's a registered copy. I restarted Maya, restarted my cpu and even went back to the website and redownloaded the plugins. Still nothing. Not sure what to do and that's pretty much how I found out about this great place. I've seen some really cool stuff here. I did notice that unlike Syflex which I also bought at the same time...I have to reload the realflow plugins everytime I restarted Maya...is that normal? I put the plugin-ins in the Realflow folder and in the Plug-ins folder inside Realflow thinking maybe I just put them in the wrong place also. Ran out of ideas...lol
Any help appreciated

Select "All Files" from "Files of Type when you import. Also make sure that your plugins are in the right folders and for the right version of Maya. If you were using a previous version or a demo version of Realflow before this than remove that, reinstall Realflow.
You don't have to load Realflow everytime you restart Maya. Just check "Auto Load" from the Plugin Manager. However, if you have to do that even after checking Auto Load then that means Maya is having difficulty recognizing Realflow plugins. Uninstall and reinstall the application. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the response DJVoyager,
I didn't have a trial before and I put the plugins in the root folder and the plugin folder. I figure either/or/and would kinda work but it was still the same.
Here's the weird part. I got it to work but by going to the RF folder, right clicking on the meshplugin and clicking open in Maya. After that, Maya opens up and I click on the next limit plugin button, realflow and then meshloader and the darn thing works...That can't be right but hoping you could decipher it..lol
Thanks again for responding. Be back in 3 hours after work to play with it again and see what the heck is going on..

That's strange, seems like the plugin works but there's something obscuring Maya from reading it. Make sure that you don't have any firewall restrictions on Realflow or Maya. Sometimes even Mental Ray doesn't work due to firewalls. The other idea is to delete the RF plugins from Maya's folders. Restart Maya. Uncheck RF plugins from loading in the Plugin Manager. Close Maya. Put the RF plugins back into their appropriate Maya folders, and then upload them again in Maya. It's a tedious process but that's one way towards a possible solution. Good luck!

Heres one for you on importing. I am working on a scene from within Realflow and I have manged to get the meshes created and I am ready to import back into Maya. When I attempt to import the bin files from RF it throws an error and states:
// Warning: RealFlow Mesh Loader Warning: Couldn't find the mesh bin file.
Does anyone know what I have done wrong... :(
Any help or pointers woudl be gr8.

Make sure that you are selecting the right and the first file of the bin sequence, RF's file naming is pretty lengthy so it's easy to select a file that either doesn't contain any data or just has some cache. And if your RF sequence starts from 0 make sure that Maya's timeline also starts from 0.
Hope that helps.
I have exactly same your problem
Hi All I found it it Easy just do copy all mel to "/Maya/scripts/startup/userSetup.mel" and also all files of plugin on"\bin\plug-ins"
and now you can use Real flow in Maya 8.5
