Hi guys!

Just uploaded a new animation! I created this animation for a client to show off their new product and its capabilities. Used Maya and After Effects.

Let me know what you think!

Nice little video you made there . seems like a weird place to put flashing in-between bricks.

Your animation is interesting to watch . and it seems to cover the different types of products they sell . nice work .

Hi Bravo,

Thanks for your comments!

seems like a weird place to put flashing in-between bricks.

They are just fallings brick with motion blur on them. I rendered a image sequene without motion blur out of Maya and then added motion blur in post with After Effects. Maybe the result would be better using a vector pass out of Maya? Usually I enable the motion blur directly in Maya but the time to render took too long on this one with the motion blur enabled. Any advice for future projects is welcome! :)

Hi spyro,

I think bravo2zero meant the construction material 'flashing' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flashing_%28weatherproofing%29), as opposed to flashing used as a verb. I think the grey sheets are referred to as 'flashing' by roofers. Nice animation! Clean movement, interesting camera movement, good job!

Hi Chrisg,

Aaah thanks for your explanation, my bad :). Explains a lot, never heard of the term 'flashing' before (i'm dutch). The client wanted to show the product cán be connected together but maybe this example doesn't make sense in real world.
