The only way I could figure this out is if I had the scene open in front of me and I could put my hands on it. Just looking at an image with such a vague description makes it near impossible to figure out this problem; mainly because I dont even see what the problem is?

Are you following a tutorial, bern_saint? If so, then check to see if it's giving you a plugin or a shader that's generating that node. From the looks of it, this is a customized "Dirtmap" that's plugged into the multiplyDivide Utility.
I've checked Maya's documentation on nodes and utilities, and by default it doesn't have a Dirtmap node.

Jak_Carver, we tend to help people try to figure out the solution themselves through suggestions and comments on the forums (that's what they're for) unless everything fails and it becomes absolutely necessary to check scenes for problems.

No problem. I Googled the Dirtmap Maya node (http://www.impresszio.hu/szabolcs/MentalRay/DirtmapMayaFiles.htm) for you. It is a customized node, and all the usage instructions are included on the page. Hope it helps :)
