During the the "Setting up Center of Gravity control" lesson of Rigging for Production at the time 7:06 I ran into a problem. Apon linking my thighs to my Bn_SpA01 Bone (Lower Spine) I had a shift that caused my thigh bones to be offset and screwed up. Here are the images, before and after the link.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Shouldn't you link the legs to a helper aligned to the spine bone instead of the bone itself??
Did you reset the leg bones transformations? ALT-right click and select freeze transforms.
If it doesn't work, try to link the bones to helpers aligned to the bones themselves and then link those helpers to the center point. Or do a position constraint AND an orientation constraint. There are a lot of work-arounds but it all comes down to link everything to helpers. Be careful because game engines do not like helpers!!

Well, according to the tutorial, they tell me to link them to the spine. I did reset the transforms on the legs.To clarify things, here is my .max file. Maybe it will help in better explaining what is going on. 7221
Also, I have tried what you said, however linking to a helper will cause knee buckeling, and I'm trying to avoid that.

Well, help isn't working so well on here. Can someone maybe add me on Steam, or Skype? My Steam name is Viscte and my Skype name is Viscte. Maybe someone can contact me on my other profiles?
If you haven't figured it out yet I will add you to skype and help, I had the same problem and it took me most of a morning and I found a work around. I created two point helpers one for each leg, aligned them, made sure the Xform's were reset then position constrained the legs to their helpers. I then linked the helpers to the hip bone itself and it worked for me.

Everytime I reset the Xform my controls go all crazy. Does using these helps actually give you the same results as linking my bones directly to the spine?

Make sure your pivot point is where you need it to be. Why you don't use the biped it would be a lot easy then using the bones. All you have to do is make the biped and then change the height and skin the mesh and then change the envolpes. Bones are a lot more harder to control

No thanks, the biped has its own problems.
