I was wondering if anyone could help me out with rigging and skinning in maya 6.0. I was watching the free tutorial on zbrush integration with maya where he imports the monster into maya to repose it, and says that you can do it vertex by vertex (rather not) or rig it. And then he just loads a premade rig which i dont have. I actually bought that dvd but dont have it yet but still want to learn in the meantime, it wont be shipped till monday. I was wondering if someone could help point me in the way of a proper rigging tutorial, ive tried to find some to no avail. Or some other means to the end i am looking for etc. Thanks in advance!

You might want to check out our rigging training kits. it is much deeper than a 5 minute lesson on rigging since so much goes into them.

speaking of rigging...anyone know how to setup a rig that is stretchable like a cartoon style animation squash and stretch for example is when you stretch the arm the arm will extend along. Thanks! :)
