First time with Cloth

Hello,

I was wondering if there might be someone here who could enlighten me on the creation of cloth in Maya 7.

I have a simple character that i made, and now I would like to add a cape. However, I've not yet worked with cloth so I'm not sure what to do or even where to start.

If someone can give me a few tips to get it done I would be very appreciative.

this is a very loooong topic and it would take pages of replies to explain how to use Maya cloth. I suggest you read over the Maya documentation real quick as it explains the use of cloth and has some very easy to follow tutorials. Good luck and have fun.

Chack out the free vids here as well, they will give you an Idea of what going on. I like to visuallize something, then read about it so i'd suggest watching the vids, then reading the docs with maya open. Of course if you don't like reading you can always check out the Cloth kit :
