hi i am working on multiple uv sets in maya.. but i am facing problem that (i am making 4 uvsets on a mesh or on my object to selected faces.. because maya works on faces slection method :D)

now.. i want to convert the 4th uvset into 3rd uvset without reapplying projection i want the uv's of 4th uvsets as they are .. if i redo all the process it will take lot of time..

max has ability that it changes the channel quickly without reassigning uvmapping.. (maya uvset and max channels are silimar as mapping)

help would be appreciated from the deepness of the heart..
i need it badly..
"warning: as i know maya.. that maya never assign uvset to a selected region untill that region is projected? keep in mind when you are helping me this?

i have asked a very tricky question

There is the command of "move of sew". This works by selected edges of one UVset that would border another UVset and selecting the command "move and sew". There is the command of "sew". This works well if the UVset are in close approximation to each other. There will be some movement of the edge UV's but the others will remain in place. Straighten UV border could be used and a UVrelax to be used after this task is completed. Be careful that the edges you select don't connect other UVsets or it will get messy quickly.

Hi Adeel. If you're trying to copy one uv set to another one, pull up the UV Texture Editor and go to the UV sets menu and select the UV set you want to copy over. Then, select all the faces in it and go to the Polygons menu, Copy UVs to UV set; choose the destination UV set. Let me know if that's what you're looking for.
